About Axiom

Structured search.
Human decisions.

Axiom Talent Solutions Ltd is a permanent recruitment consultancy for technical and professional roles. The approach is simple to state: define the requirement clearly, search the relevant market properly, and leave the decisions to the people who should make them.

01Why Axiom exists

Better recruitment
starts with a clearer
requirement.

Many hiring processes go wrong before the first candidate is contacted. A vague brief leads to a broad search, a broad search leads to loosely relevant CVs, and loosely relevant CVs lead to slow, frustrating interview processes for everyone involved.

Axiom was set up to work the other way round. Each assignment starts by establishing what the role genuinely requires — and what it does not — so the search can be directed, the candidates approached can be relevant, and the people introduced understand the role they are considering.

“Structured search for technical & professional talent.”

02Define

The search is only
as clear as the brief.

Every Axiom search starts by understanding the role properly. A sharper requirement makes it easier to identify relevant people — and gives candidates an honest picture of what they would be stepping into.

04Search models

Two search models.
One objective:
a better-aligned hire.

Both models are permanent recruitment. The difference is structure and commitment — and the right choice depends on the requirement, not on a rule that one is always better.

01

Contingent

Permanent recruitment support where fees are governed by agreed contingent terms.

Structure
Search and candidate introductions against a defined permanent vacancy.
Commercial basis
Contingent terms agreed with the employer before recruitment activity begins.
Often suited to
Clearly defined roles where a focused, flexible search is appropriate.
Stages
Brief · Search · Introductions · Interviews · Offer support
Contingent recruitment
02

Retained

A dedicated staged search structure for selected assignments.

Structure
A committed, staged search with defined phases and checkpoints.
Commercial basis
Staged terms agreed with the employer in advance of the assignment.
Often suited to
Specialist, harder-to-source, leadership or confidential requirements, where appropriate.
Stages
Discovery · Mapping · Search · Assessment · Shortlist · Interview · Appointment
Retained search

Fees and commercial terms are not published. They are agreed with each employer before recruitment activity begins, and any rebate or replacement provisions are governed by those agreed terms.

05 How it feels to work with Axiom

Clear for employers.
Fair to candidates.

Recruitment involves two sets of people making significant decisions. Both deserve clear information and timely communication.

  • 01Candidate experience

    Honest, considered conversations

Candidates are approached about roles that appear relevant, told what the role involves, and introduced to employers only with their agreement. They hear how the process is going — including when it is not progressing.

  • 02Employer communication

    Visibility at every stage

Employers know what has been agreed, what the search is finding, and where the market and the brief differ. Introductions arrive with context, and feedback is relayed promptly in both directions.

06Responsibility

Search supports the decision.
It doesn’t replace it.

A recruitment consultancy can widen the field, sharpen the brief and manage the process. The decision to appoint — and the checks and terms around it — remain with the employer.
